Watercolor practice today. I’ve been needing to do some sort of painting, so I’ve been working on this the past two days. I really need to use some references when I’m painting. ^^;
I took Link out for a photoshoot last weekend at Ardenwood Historical Farm. I’m starting to enjoy taking photos of figures outdoors, and Link seems to be the best choice because he’s totally up for an adventure. I’m still learning to use my camera, so for the most part most of these are taken with my kit lens on auto. I’d love to take a photography class one day.
Additional photos can be seen on my flickr.
30 hand drawn, laminated gift bag decorations for PUDDLE: Pullip and Dal Doll Lovers Event, an event celebrating the Pullip & co. dolls by GROOVE and takes place in Elk Grove Village, IL. I mailed these out today via priority, so I hope they arrive to IL by Wednesday. The other 30 bags are drawn by myufish—I can’t wait to see hers, because hers are always gorgeous! I wish I could attend, but I can’t this year.
Now I’m completely beat. I don’t want to color or draw another bust for at least a week now~!
Last week a super cute package came in the mail! Thank you so much Sunyumi for the sweet letter and all the Chihayafuru items! *o* I’m so sorry it took me a bit to post this! Everything in the package is so cute~ Daddy Bear and Snow Maru stickers?!! Omg! So cute! ^_____^
The Chihaya and Taichi keycharms are my favorite! (Chihaya is even double sided!!) I love it all! Right now Chihaya and Taichi are hanging with my other Taichi (from Digimon) you drew me a while ago. ^___^
Thank you, thank you! You’re so nice! T^T <3 <3
Putting up some finishing touches on a mermaid request, and working on the background some more. The paper is a bit wrinkled because I was trying to do alcohol copic technique. Next time I try it, I think I’ll add more ink—my colors were low at the time. I liked coloring her skin blue, I had never done any other color so it was a fun experiment. :)
Another one from about a year ago.
Sayaka was probably my favorite character, Homura being second.
Going through some old sketches and finishing them off. This is about a year old. Modeled after my own Gabumon plush, which I think is the cutest thing ever. T^T;
In my most recent class we were assigned to do observation sketching. Before that I’ve never done observation sketching even though I’ve always wanted to. I guess I never had the courage to do so because of fears that someone would get really mad at you staring at them… I didn’t want to seem creepy, ahha…ha.
But now that I’ve gotten over that fear I miss doing the sketching and I aim to continue it. It’s fun and my phone will still have batteries. :)
On to May!
Putting up some finishing stuff on this contest entry for PUDDLE, which is a Pullip Doll Convention in the Chicago area. Wish I could go this year. :(
While I was inking some stuff I started to notice that my pens seemed to be multiplying. When and how did I end up with so many Sakura Microns? o_o; I had to toss the Rose colored one though, because it had a bent tip. :(
I’ve probably had a majority of these pens for at least 8-10 years. They sure last long … but then I don’t use them much either. ^^; I tell myself I cannot buy anything new until I use up what I already have. I guess I have a lot to go through!
What do you like to use?
